BackBudget & Finance Committee
Mission: The Budget and Finance committee is chaired by the Treasurer and comprised of members of the Steering Committee and persons with financial expertise. The role of this committee is to oversee financial matters and develop an understanding of the use of finances and how they help to meet long and short term goals. The committee makes recommendations to Steering based on their careful review of current finances with an eye to adopting best practices. They make sure that the use of financial resources is in line with leadership development plans. This committee also answers questions with other committees about their budgets and address day-to-day reporting issues. Finally, they help to improve financial management and reduce time spent addressing details in regular monthly meetings.
